Freelancing Helps Beginners
Nobody likes working for free. Time is worth money, knowledge is worth money. If you don’t know how to complete certain task, you most likely need to employ/hire someone to complete it for you.
A freelancer or freelance worker is a term commonly used for a person who is self-employed and is not necessarily committed to a particular employer long-term. Freelance workers are sometimes represented by a company or a temporary agency that resells freelance labor to clients; others work independently or use professional associations or websites to get work.
How many of you have tried to get work in sites like Freelancer or Upwork? ✋ I did. And I still do, despite not being very successful. Freelance websites are a big pond full of angry fish, and even if you are experience, the chances are you won’t get a job you are well qualified for.
If you are a beginner, disregard what I said above. Freelancing platforms are great! I’ve registered and browsed several freelancing platforms but stuck with Freelancer for ages now. Despite not getting any paid work (I never sponsored bids but I always made sure to write a nice message to the person who posted the project), I’ve completed the tasks mentioned in several projects. No financial gain, but the experience has been very enriching.
If you ever lack ideas for projects, take a look at the projects posted in freelancing platforms.
It has become my favorite learning/practising resource!
